Lighting is Everything

I talk about this with my clients quite often. How lighting changes the way your hair colour looks dramatically. This photo was taken minutes apart in different lighting and it is crazy to me just how different it looks.

Actually, neither side really captures what the hair colour really looks like in person. But, the one on the right is closest to it.

This is really important to understand especially when you feel like your hair colour doesn’t look the way you want based on a photo because it is not reality. It is necessary to take photos of your hair colour in several different lighting option. The best is for sure natural day light to get the most accurate depiction of what it looks like.
